I did it!
Twice!
After getting to NOLA following an...interesting night in Baton Rouge, we showed up at the Audubon Zoo with enough time to secure a place for the 2:30 feeding. Excited. Sweating. I couldn't wait.
The giraffes surprised us with some interesting behaviour, to say the least.
Finally, the keepers arrived. It was time.
They instructed us to just give the treat, no petting. "Someone can get hurt!"
And then Mr. Giraffe number 1 came to me!!
And then again!
